Problems at school ? Lets progress !

Amy doesn’t understand. She was used to be an Ok student, but since she arrived in Junior High School, it’s catastrophic! New School, new organisation… her learn techniques of Primary School are not enough anymore and she can ‘ t follow the rhythm of the class ! Her marks are terrible and she feels worse and worse… The poor girl is just an example. Every week, are you are dozens who send us SOS messages. How can Amy and all the others progress and have confidence in themselves again? The answers with theses revolutionary solutions.
Guaranteed Success!

> First, FIND CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF AGAIN, it is all in your head! Be and think active and persevering.

> ORGANIZE YOUR WORK - SPACE ! Place your work spot in a place where you’ll be able to be calm and concentrate. The best would be in your room.
Organize your stuff by theme…you always have to know where they are!
Don’t encumber your desk! Use shelves, boxes, drawers… You need room to work!
It’s also good to personalize your work space with a green plant or some meditative pictures and sentences. It will appease your spirit.
If you are disorderly and if you forget a lot, don’t panic, the solution is easy : use a little board or a note book you fix on the wall. Write and erase the information you have to remember!
And never forget: your desk is the image of yourself, keep it always clean and tidy it up regularly.

>TRY TO HAVE A BETTER LIFESTYLE !

Your brain works a lot , it needs relaxation . Try to go to bed earlier, you won’t be sleepy the next day.
Don‘t use too much TV and computer, enjoy outside, your friends and family, do activities.
Read a little bit every day, it will make you progress in grammar and open your imagination.

>ATTITUDE: a little thing that’s makes a BIG difference!
You are constantly bored and looking at the clock? You prefer chatting all the lesson with yours friends around you? Change it! Realize the great chance you have to can have an education. How many children in the world dream of it every day…Be enthusiastic and interested, work seriously, ask immediately questions if you don’t understand, participate, share your ideas and problems with friends… be ACTIVE!

>If the class is going too fast for you or if you have any other questions, SPEAK WITH YOUR TEACHER! He won’t eat you, on the contrary, he will be very glad to help you!

>HOMEWORK: Consider it as the best solution to progress.
But yeah… Hard, hard when you just come back exhausted of a plain day
of school to start learning again and again ! Relax, take a break, when you arrive at home, take fruit, a fruitjuice, a tea, a milk, take a book and read for 15 minuts, listen music, open your window , have fresh air… Then, you are full of energy and ready to start!
Organize your time ! You might have activities after school. Don ‘t spend too much time on homework who doesn’t need it , be efficient !
Anticipate ! Don’t wait the last minute! Doing the homework in advance keeps the stress and overworking away!
Organize your space and your brain! Order, method, and concentration. But sometimes, too much is too much, your brain says stop. No problem, take a break for five minutes, oxygen yourself and come back ready to continue!

>I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH HOMEWORKS !
No problem! Ask your parents If they are here and if they have the time.
But for a lot of you, that’s the problem. With parents at work, you can’t find help and finally give up. Never do that! Here are some solutions:
Find a “homework – partner”! You can do the homework together and share your solutions and ideas. And you always have the possibility to phone him to help you if you have a difficulty, or if you missed a lesson …
A lot of schools propose free homework help after school. Why don’t you go? You will have the help of the teachers and progress easily and quickly!

>THE TEST
That can be a BIG stress!
Again, don’t wait the last minute. Try a week before to find the time, every day, to read and learn your lesson a little bit. Like that, you can ask questions if you have comprehension problems.
A lot of children study hours and hours to finally have a bad mark. WHY?
The clue is what you UNDERSTAND, not the time you spent to learn if there is no result!
Don’t see the marks as the most important thing in the world. They are not the goal in your education. Of course, they are important and you have to consider them seriously but what really open the doors is what you know, what you learnt and who you are.

>STUDYING FOR THE TEST
Relax! Prepare yourself to learn and to be concentrate.
Take all the time you need to understand and to be ready.
Method! Here is a very good technique:

1) Review the lesson, highlight the clue-words, print it in your spirit or write it.
2) Re-do the exercises you failed with, try new ones of the same type…
3) Evaluate yourself! Read the lesson and write questions. Read your lesson again and try to answer without help. Then give you a mark. Satisfied? if not, re do exercises and ask for help.

Now, you have the solutions. It’s your turn to act, to change and to do the effort to follow them.

Be active, persevering, trust in you and never give up!
And never forget this Latin sentence:

SI VIS POTES
If you WANT, you CAN !

It’s all in your head, everything is possible if you trust in it and give all your energy to realize it!

Good Luck !
